Poor mice, they really get a bad rep. Whenever someone has a good suspense thriller storyline they want to discuss, the whole “game of cat and mouse” phrase is played. Do you think the mouse would see it as a game? Damn cats.
Cat and mouse is only one element of a new indie flick we got word on recently called Sympathy. It details the exploits of a reckless bank robber who takes a teenage girl hostage and what happens when they hole up for the night in a bad motel. And no, vibrating beds have nothing to do with it. At least, not that I could tell.
Sympathy has been getting all sorts of accolades from all over the web and print media, everyone from Bloodtype Online to Variety, the consensus being that this is an indie film unlike any you’ve seen before. Strong editing and good performances have helped it stand out wherever it’s played so if a film festival is running through your town, be sure to keep an eye out for it.
