We’ve been talking about an adaptation of The Goon ever since the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, where some early footage was revealed, and despite big names attached like David Fincher, Clancy Brown, and Paul Giamatti, the flick is still looking to find funding. Maybe the following PSA can help to move things along!
Based on the Dark Horse Comics series by Eric Powell, stars Clancy Brown and Paul Giamatti provide the voices for the following bit of test footage that’s sure to have you grinning from ear-to-ear!
The Goon follows a muscle-bound, stocky badass who fights demons, ghosts, werewolves, and anything else the supernatural wants to throw at him. It’s a fun, romping adventure through a world filled with monsters directed by Jeff Fowler and Tim Miller with voices by Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown.
