Ashley Bell Back for Last Exorcism Sequel

If there’s one thing that worked in The Last Exorcism, it was the chilling and stunning performance of lead Ashley Bell. She absolutely hit it out of the proverbial park, and it looks like she’ll be coming back for more!

While doing press for The Day at the Toronto International Film Festival, Bloody Disgusting caught up with Bell, who had this to say about the recently announced sequel …

“I just signed on for the sequel of Last Exorcism,” said Bell. “It’s ‘The Last Exorcism For Realsies You Guys,’” she joked. “That’s the full title. Whenever you get that phone call, that opportunity, it’s incredible. I loved working with Strike Entertainment and Eli the first time around. To be able to work with them again, that’s what I’m most excited about. They’re an incredible company. I’m so excited. I have not seen or heard anything so I don’t know what is going to go down. I am sworn to secrecy. My life’s now worth more than sharing any other details.”

Know what would be cool? If they somehow landed Jennifer Carpenter (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and the two actresses had a Contort-Off! Two people enter and bend their bodies in truly curious positions. One person leaves. We’d pay top dollar!

Writer Damien Chazelle is penning the follow-up to the surprise summer 2010 hit. Production begins in the fall.
