Original Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters Returning to Theaters

Is there a more iconic scene in recent memory than that T-Rex looking at the kids through the window of the SUV, pupil dilating with the sweep of the flashlight, moments before he smashes the thing to scrap metal? I don’t think so. And now you’ll be able to experience it in all its glory on the big screen once again.
On September 23 the original Jurassic Park (1993) will be making its way back into theaters. These are new, beautiful digital prints with 7.1 surround sound. Ahh, I can almost smell the triceratops dung already.
For those who would rather experience the excitement at home, the entire Jurassic Park trilogy will be released on Blu-ray on September 24.
And in other news … can you believe it’s been 25 years since Drs. Venkman, Stantz and Spengler graced the big screen in the original Ghostbusters? Well, according to the Ghostbusters Facebook Fan Page that drought is about to come to an end as well. The word we’re getting is that a digitally restored version of the original Ghostbusters will be hitting theaters this Halloween. Vinz Clortho and all.
