Rest in Peace - Cliff RobertsonThe movie and television worlds have lost yet another icon today as the great Cliff Robertson has passed away at the ripe old age of eighty-eight.

Though he didn’t dabble much in the world of horror, he did have memorable stints on “The Twilight Zone” and “The Outer Limits”, tried his hand at screenwriting while appearing in the indie flick The 13th Child, and of course his starring role as the President of the United States in John Carpenter’s Escape from L.A.. Many of today’s fans, however, will no doubt remember him as Ben Parker, Peter’s uncle in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies.

Robertson died on Saturday, September 10th, one day after his 88th birthday. We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to offer our sincerest of condolences to Cliff’s friends, family, and constituents. Rest in peace, sir, and thanks for being the class act that you were.
