According to The Hollywood Reporter the writer and producers of the horror hit The Strangers are teaming up for a new thriller titled Crush. Sonny Mallhi (The Roommate) wrote the script, which Intrepid’s Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans will fully finance and produce. Malik Bader (Street Thief) is set to direct.
Described as being a cross between Cruel Intentions and Misery, the story centers on a star high school athlete who becomes the focus of an admirer’s obsession. He soon discovers the innocent crush has turned dangerous and deadly.
The movie is casting up now with filming scheduled to begin on October 17 in Los Angeles.
