Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong Begins Shooting This Fall?

God vs King.

Last week we let you guys know that there was a rumor floating (natch) around that IT: Chapter 2 was going to begin filming this summer.

That news came to us from Omega Underground and today they are now reporting that yet another film is set to shoot this year as well.

This time the movie in question is Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong which is said to be “returning to Atlanta, Georgia sometime in 2018” and “filming is expected to begin on October 1st and will wrap around February of next year.”

Sounds about right to me. After all, the new monster mash is set to hit in May of 2020 so it gives Wingard and crew a good year to work on the film’s (no doubt) massive amount of visual effects. Are you excited to hear that Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong might begin shooting this fall? Let us know below!

Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla 2 hits theaters March 22, 2019, and Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong is set for May 22, 2020.

Kong: Skull Island synopsis:

Scientists, soldiers and adventurers unite to explore a mythical, uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. Cut off from everything they know, they venture into the domain of the mighty Kong, igniting the ultimate battle between man and nature. As their mission of discovery soon becomes one of survival, they must fight to escape from a primal world where humanity does not belong.
