Toy Fair 2018: Mezco Toyz Display a Ton of Stunning Horror Figures

Mezco Toyz have absolutely killed it at this year’s Toy Fair, because they’ve showed off a wealth of stunning new horror figures. If I were a religious man, I would be praying to win the lottery so I can get my hands on all of these.

Firstly, they revealed new additions to their One:12 line of realistic action figures. To begin with, there’s Ash from Evil Dead II, and he’s looking groovier than ever, with Bruce Campbell’s likeness being instantly recognizable. The bloody wounds on his face are also a nice touch. Then there’s Jason from Friday the 13th Part III, the first film where he donned the now iconic hockey mask. The last figure depicts Michael Myers as he appeared in the original 1978 Halloween, and he looks ready to kill.

The label next to the displayed Ash figure says that it’s set to be released this summer, whilst the Jason figure will murder its way into stores sometime next year. The Michael Myers figure is already available to pre-order on Mezco’s website, and is expected to ship sometime between June and August of this year.

Other One:12 figures on display at the event included the iconic zombies from Dawn of the Dead and the team from the original Ghostbusters, along with Slimer, the franchise’s ghostly mascot. Although they’re not exactly horror movies, the figures of Alex from A Clockwork Orange and the dog-loving hitman John Wick from the film of the same name are also worth a look.

Mezco have given us some top quality Marvel collectibles over the years, so you probably won’t be too surprised to learn that their One:12 Marvel figures displayed at Toy Fair were also nothing short of spectacular. You can view the full Marvel lineup of figures here, with Blade, Doctor Strange, and the Punisher being particular standouts. If you’re an avid viewer of Netflix’s “Daredevil” MCU show, you’ll probably be glad to see that they’ve included variations of Matt Murock in both his black cloth costume and his shining red devil armor. On the DC side of things, the two figures of the psychotic Joker both looked about as crazy as you would expect.

Outside of the One:12 line, Mezco are also displaying both 7″ and 18″ figures of King Kong as he appeared in last year’s Skull Island, which is also presumably how he’ll look in 2020’s Godzilla vs. Kong (although he was presumably wasn’t fully grown in Skull Island). I think I want them both.

Looking at the gallery below, why don’t you let us know in the comments which of the figures displayed by Mezco at Toy Fair is your favorite? Special thanks to The Toyark for sharing all the images.
