While I doubt our readership had a lot to do with the success of ABC Family’s airing of Fallen last summer about this time, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that it was successful. And you know with success there are almost always sequels!
So wait, what the hell is Fallen? Glad you asked! It’s the story of a war that’s been going on for ages between angels and demons and a boy caught in the middle who is the son of an angel and a human — a boy who might be the only hope the good guys have of winning the war.
We just got a heads up from the author of the books upon which Fallen (the first movie) was based, Tom Sniegoski, that ABC Family has the plan in place to air all three Fallen movies starting with the first film on Friday, August 3rd, with the two newest films playing Saturday and Sunday nights, respectively.
Having read Sniegoski’s books, I can tell you that despite the religious implications, these stories aren’t about how God wins and everyone should love Jesus cause if they were, you wouldn’t see ‘em here. From all accounts the new movies are pretty damn good so hopefully they’ll live up to the groundwork the author laid down in his books.
