Adapting any works of Edgar Allan Poe into a film isn’t easy. That hasn’t stopped filmmakers from trying, however, and as the production of Her Heart Still Beats comes to a close, we’ll see if the cast and crew of Creepy Kid Productions have succeeded where so many others have not.
Synopsis
When Ed’s wife comes home early from work one day, he becomes overtaken by a strange feeling when he looks into her eyes. Disturbed or possibly just paranoid, Ed becomes possessed with his wife’s eyes and struggles to understand these feelings. Is she evil, or is he insane? They may not have enough time to find out.
This horror film, inspired by Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart, is nearing the end of post production. The cast includes Fiore Leo as Ed Gallo, Leighsa Burgin as Sarah Gallo, William Bloomfield as Man in Woods, John Martellucci as Bobby Lamontta, and Michael Capozzi as John Palermo. Directed/written/produced by Christopher Di Nunzio and co-produced by Jason Miller, it promises to be an interesting variation on Poe’s mythos. Dig on the trailer below to judge for yourself.
