Don Mancini Announces Child’s Play TV Series!

In what just might be the most exciting news we’ll get this year, it turns out that Child’s Play creator Don Mancini and franchise producer David Kirschner are developing a TV series based on Chucky and the Child’s Play series!

The filmmakers broke the news to our buddies over at Bloody Disgusting with Mancini telling them that the series was “deliberately set up at end of the last movie,” adding that the “tone is dark and disturbing.”

“We plan to use Child’s Play in the title,” Mancini explained. “We want to definitely signal that we are going dark, darker than ever before. It’s going to be very creepy.”

Kirschner stated that it won’t be a reboot and will be a continuation of the story, and Mancini made sure to confirm that Brad Dourif will once again return to voice Chucky.

Again, this is about the coolest news we could possibly hope for on a Sunday morning so let us rejoice and be glad. It’s gonna be a good day!
