This Transylvanian Artist Carves Designs Into Animal Skulls

That headline alone was worth this story, don’t you think? How often can you tell your friends, “I read a story online about an artist from Transylvania who carves animal skulls into gorgeous pieces of art“? Well, my friends, today is that day.
Allow me to introduce you to Victor Seiche, an artist based out of the Transylvania region in central Romania. Seiche’s art is based on obtaining and carving skulls with intricate and beautiful designs. Some are more ornate than others but each one is nothing short of incredible. Some designs are more abstract while others feature faces. Each skull makes fascinating use of shapes, changing from sharp-edged squares to graceful circles.
Seiche cleans and carves the skulls himself, stating that the skulls “…are sourced naturally and legally.” Furthermore, he makes it clear that he does not do any hunting or killing in order to obtain these skulls.
