Rest in Peace: Atticus Anderson

Tragic news to report as it’s come out that Atticus Anderson, the son of David Anderson and Heather Langenkamp, has passed away at 26 years old after a battle with brain cancer, as posted in a Malibu Times obituary.
Langenkamp, who was going to appear at this past weekend’s Day of the Dead convention in Atlanta, cancelled her appearance and offered this message via Facebook:
“Dear Friends, Colleagues and Fans,
I was intending on being with you in Atlanta this weekend but as you know I will not be able to come. Our family suffered a great loss this month. David and mine’s beloved son, Atticus, has passed away from Brain Cancer. Atticus was an amazing human being and we miss him terribly. Thank you for your understanding. I hope to see you all very soon.

As someone who has had brain cancer affect my life, I know just how traumatizing and horrifying such an ordeal can be. My heart is absolutely broken for Langenkamp and Anderson in this incredibly difficult time and I hope that they know that the horror community is sending our thoughts, our prayers, our best wishes, and our love.
