Rest in Peace: Dallas Mayr (aka Jack Ketchum)

Very sad news to bring to you all as it’s being reported that horror novelist and actor Dallas Mayr, who went by the pseudonym Jack Ketchum, has passed away at the age of 71 after a long battle with cancer (Source).
The four-time Bram Stoker Award winning author was also known for his work writing films such as The Woman, The Lost, The Girl Next Door, Red, and more. He also cameoed in several of the films he wrote as bit parts. In 2011, Mayr was the recipient of the World Horror Convention Grand Master Award for his work contributing to the horror genre.
We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends in this difficult time. We also wish to take this opportunity to send our thanks to Mayr for the amazing contributions he’s given us over decades.
