It’s taken a while to arrive, but an official one-sheet for the long talked about flick Texas Killing Fields is finally here awaiting your perusal. Oh, and there’s a new release date, too!

Inspired by true events, this tense and haunting thriller follows Detective Souder (Sam Worthington), a homicide detective in a small Texan town, and his partner, transplanted New York City cop Detective Heigh (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims’ mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call “The Killing Fields.”

Though the swampland crime scenes are outside their jurisdiction, Detective Heigh is unable to turn his back on solving the gruesome murders. Despite his partner’s warnings, he sets out to investigate the crimes. Before long, the killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When familiar local girl Anne (Chloë Grace Moretz) goes missing, the detectives find themselves racing against time to catch the killer and save the young girl’s life.

Directed by Ami Canaan Mann and produced by Michael Mann and Michael Jaffe, Texas Killing Fields also stars Jessica Chastain (Tree of Life, The Help), Jason Clarke (Public Enemies, FOX’s “Chicago Code”) and Stephen Graham (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”). Executive Produced by Bill Block, Paul Hanson and Ethan Smith with music by Dickon Hinchliffe.

Look for the film in select theaters on October 14th, 2011!

Will Bruce Campbell Ever Return as Ash?

Published

on

Recently we let you guys know that Starz has canceled Ash vs Evil Dead. In response to that news, a group of fans tried to rally and have Netflix pick up the horror-comedy series.

Well, good old Bruce Campbell got wind of the whole thing and took to Twitter to let the world know he is officially retired from the role of Ash Williams.

Big props to fans for the effort,” Bruce tweeted. “But I’m retired as Ash.”

Personally, I fell like this might be the right move for Campbell. I mean, unless the powers that be get Ash vs Freddy vs Jason going, or a team-up movie between Bruce and Mia from the Evil Dead remake, then I think it might be best to just hang up the spurs, good buddy.

Are you upset that Bruce Campbell is hanging up the Evil Dead hat, or do you think it’s the right time? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
