Back in September, Yahoo reported that Andres Muschietti’s take on Stephen King’s IT was going to be getting a director’s cut with 15 minutes of added footage.

Well, earlier this week we got an update on said Director’s Cut via our buddies over at Bloody Disgusting who reached out to Muschietti on Instagram.

The director told the site that, yes the cut is coming our way, “…but in a few months.”

Good to know!

I’m really looking forward to this director’s cut. As a massive fan of the book, I couldn’t help but count all of the scenes I wish would have made it into the film. But maybe some of these classic bits and pieces will be included in the extended cut. We’ll see!
