Now this? This is just music to our horror-loving ears! First John Carpenter officially came on board to score and executive produce; then Jamie Lee Curtis joined the fray; and now, the actor who played the original Michael Myers is returning to make this next Halloween something truly special!

Bloody Disgusting reports the HUGE news that Nick Castle will return to the role of Michael Myers in Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions, and Miramax’s Halloween. The site goes on to report that while Castle will be pulling on the infamous mask once more, stunt performer and actor James Jude Courtney has also been cast to play Myers. At this glorious point why not bring in Tony Moran for a quick unmasking?

It’s also being reported that the film’s FX will be handled by Christopher Nelson (Suicide Squad, Deadpool, Sin City, Kill Bill Vols. 1 and 2).

Curtis of course plays Laurie Strode, and joining her will be Judy Greer as Karen Strode and Andi Matichak as her daughter, Allyson.

David Gordon Green’s Halloween is scheduled to be released October 19, 2018.
