Last week we shared some promo art for the upcoming R-rated adaption of Marvel’s Venom starring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Jenny Slate.

And today we have some added insights into the film via co-star Michelle Williams who recently talk with Screen Rant about what drew her to the project.

“It’s, um, well for me it’s Tom (Hardy),” Williams told the site. “I just thought, well, that guy knows what he’s doing. I’m just going to go steal some of his moves, figure out what he knows. I just wanted to, you know, you’re only as good as the people you play with and I really wanted to challenge myself with him as a partner.”

Williams then talked a bit about the challenges she faced with her role in the CGI-heavy film.

“I’ve done one other movie where I was asked to track a tennis ball with my eyes and pretend it was a giant creature thing,” Williams said. “Not my favorite thing in the world to do, but it is a skill set and I’m trying to learn it.”

I don’t know about you guys but I am very excited to see Venom (back) on the big screen. Especially in this new R-rated version and played by Tom Hardy.

What do you think? Let us know below!

The film is written by Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner and Kelly Marcel and directed by Ruben Fleischer. The film currently stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Jenny Slate.

Venom hits theaters Oct. 5, 2018.
