Horror conventions are a great time. You get a chance to see some of your favorite genre stars up close and personal, buy some cool swag, and hang out with a bunch of like-minded individuals. A good time had by all. But someone has decided to amp up the fun quotient. Say it with me … Mad Monster Party!

The Mad Monster Party, scheduled for March 23-25, 2012, in Charlotte, North Carolina (mark your calendars now, you don’t want to miss this), takes all the coolest parts of a horror convention and adds some aspects that you will only find at this once a year event.

Aside from a guest list that includes horror icons Bill Moseley (Otis), Angus Scrimm (Tall Man), Brad Dourif (Chucky), Michael Berryman (Hills), Nivek Ogre (Skinny Puppy) and Ricou Browning (Black Lagoon Creature), this event includes horror-themed karaoke, a haunted funhouse, The Roadkill Garage (which houses some kick-ass screen used vehicles; think Christine and Maximum Overdrive), and the Crypt Critter Exhibit featuring snakes, spiders and all types of creepy-crawlies. By the way, we haven’t even mentioned the horrific speed dating! Who’s in?

And this just scratches the surface. The Mad Monster Party is a totally unique experience for horror fans that blends the coolest parts of traditional horror conventions with some entertainment that is completely original to this event.

It’s a Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, North Carolina, and you’re cordially invited! Join us March 23rd-25th, 2012, at the Blake Hotel for a frighteningly fun festival for the whole family!

Meet lots of iconic horror movie stars like Brad Dourif (Lord of the Rings, The Exorcist 3, Child’s Play) in person! Brave a walk through the haunted funhouse; peek under the hood of our Roadkill Garage exhibiting the scariest “screen-used” movie vehicles of all time like Christine, the Duel truck and the Maximum Overdrive Green Goblin head!

Face your fears at the Crypt Critter exhibit of LIVE slithering serpents, aggressive arachnids and intense insects; murder your favorite songs at our SCARAOKE showcase; and visit our vendor room for the chance to collect horror memorabilia from around the world – we’ll even be raffling off $25 in Mad Monster Money every hour for you to spend with our vendors. Stop by and marvel at the weird wonders of the Mystery Monster Museum.

But what’s a Mad Monster party without someone (or something) to share it with? Now you can take a chance at a Mad Mixer Speed Dating session – because the monster demands a date!
