World War Z Video Game Coming Next Year

I think we can all agree that World War Z wasn’t exactly a masterpiece, but either way, we’re still getting a sequel, which will be directed by none other than David Fincher. Paramount has recently suffered from a string of bombs, so I guess they need to do anything to keep their franchises going.

And the WWZ franchise is branching out into other forms of media, too. At this year’s Game Awards ceremony, it was confirmed that Saber Interactive is working on a cooperative four-player World War Z video game. The announcement trailer features huge hoards of ravenous zombies and even shows them scaling tall structures by piling on top of one another to form a kind of wall of zombies, just as they did in the film.

Saber previously bought us the hugely underrated sci-fi shooter TimeShift and the basketball title NBA Playgrounds. We’ll see how they put their mark on the zombie genre when the World War Z video game releases on PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime next year. Until then, you can follow the game on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
