Last month we shared with you guys your first look at “Stranger Things” star David Harbour as the new Hellboy in director Neil Marshall’s upcoming reboot.

Today we learned Hellboy will be hitting theaters near you on January 11, 2019!

While a January release date doesn’t inspire much confidence in the film to me, maybe Lionsgate knows exactly what they’re doing and the film will have the room required to really spread its wings and become a breakout hit. Fingers crossed.

What do you think of this January release date? Let us know below!

Ian McShane portrays Professor Broom, Daniel Dae Kim stars as Major Ben Daimio, and Milla Jovovich co-stars as the villainess of the film, a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind.

Directed by Neil Marshall, Hellboy is based on a script by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Mike Mignola, who is the creator of the Hellboy universe. The latest draft was done by Aron Coleite (“Heroes,” “Star Trek: Discovery”). Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin are producing along with Mike Richardson of Dark Horse Entertainment. Millennium Films and Lionsgate are making the film.

Hellboy hits theaters January 11th, 2019.
