Last year we saw the, um, return of cult comedy series “Mystery Science Theater 3000” on Netflix with their revival season aptly titled “Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return.”

The new season starred Jonah Ray, Patton Oswalt, and Felicia Day (along with Baron Vaughn as the voice of Tom Servo, Hampton Yount as the voice of Crow) and was a hit among fans of the original series.

Today we have the exciting news that “Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return” has officially been renewed for season two!

I’m not going to lie and say that I’ve caught up with this new Netflix revival series yet, but I am – like most everyone on the planet – a big fan of the original run and so I’m glad to hear this latest season was, evidently, good enough to receive another go-around.

You can watch the announcement video below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know how excited you are for more MST3K in the comments below.

Joel Hodgson executive produces along with Elliott Kalan, Richard Foos, Bob Emmer, Garson Foos, Jonathan Stern, and Harold Buchholz. The series is produced by Satellite of Love, LLC, Alternaversal Productions, LLC and Undiscovered North American Ape Pictures.

Synopsis:

The cult classic TV show is back! Comic Jonah Ray plays the role of Jonah Heston, a hapless human who is forced by evil scientists to endure a vault of cheesy movies. Kinga Forrester (Felicia Day) is the daughter of the original mad scientist, Dr. Clayton Forrester, and Patton Oswalt plays the son of Clayton’s former henchman. In hopes of holding onto his sanity, Jonah watches the films with his hilarious robot companions. Together, the “B” movie audience members crack snarky jokes as the action plays out on screen.
