Anyone who knows us on Dread Central is aware that we’re huge fans of Dark Horse and the Hellboy universe that Mike Mignola has created. Wildly imaginative and brilliantly constructed, it’s a series that plays with expectations in the most delightful and enchanting of ways.

Today, we’re thrilled to be able to help Dark Horse announce three new Hellboy collections and reveal the covers for each one. The three collections are “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1955 – Burning Season” (trade paperback), “Abe Sapien: Dark and Terrible Volume 2” (hardcover), and “Rasputin: Voice of the Dragon” (trade paperback). Respectively, they will be coming out June 6, 2018, March 21, 2018, and July 25, 2018.

Hellboy encounters unseen predators, strange cases of combustion, and a weapon at an Air Force base that is more than it seems.

iZombie co-creator Chris Roberson and Mike Mignola join Shawn Martinbrough, Brian Churilla, and Paolo Rivera to guide Hellboy to unveil a volatile new weapons project with the monstrous side effects.

This volume collects Hellboy And The B.P.R.D.: 1955 – Secret Nature, Occult Intelligence #1-3, Burning Season, and bonus material.

Mike Mignola (W), Scott Allie (W), John Arcudi (W), Max Fiumara (A), Sebastián Fiumara (A/Cover), Dave Stewart (C)

One of the great mysteries of the Hellboy world is revealed as Abe uncovers his connections to the monsters threatening to end the world.

When monsters began to tear down civilization, suspicion fell on Abe Sapien, who resembled the frogmen plaguing mankind. The two volumes of Dark and Terrible tell the complete story of Abe’s quest to prove his innocence as he went AWOL from the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense.

At first he ran from the truth, but as this volume picks up he’s ready to face facts about his origins and his purpose in the world—revealed in classically oblique Mignola style—all while being pursued by a mad necromancer who feels betrayed by the Devil and is eager to use Abe to gain new power amongst the creatures that have created a Hell on Earth.

“Rasputin: Voice of the Dragon” TPB

Mike Mignola (W/Cover), Chris Roberson (W), Christopher Mitten (A), Dave Stewart (C)

With the world at war, Hellboy’s future guardian Trevor Bruttenholm enlists with Britain’s Military Intelligence, where he uncovers a collection of strange messages. Believing it to be an occult language, he follows his hunch and is thrown into a world of animated corpses, deadly mystics, and Nazi agents. The treacherous journey leads him face to face with the man who will bring Hellboy to Earth—Rasputin!

This volume collects Rasputin: Voice of the Dragon #1-#5.
