Recently here at Dread Central we just wrapped up our daily recap/reviews of the second season of Netflix and The Duffer Brothers’ “Stranger Things”. And with “Stranger Things 2” finished and in the rearview, there is only one thing left to do: countdown the days until we can binge “Stranger Things 3”!

Speaking of the third season, The Duffer Brothers recently spoke with THR and let slip that the upcoming third season will feature a significant time jump after “Stranger Things 2” season finale left us outside the Snow Ball.

“Even if we wanted to hop into the action faster, we couldn’t,” says Matt Duffer. “Our kids are aging. We can only write and produce the show so fast. They’re going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting season three. It provides certain challenges. You can’t start right after season two ended. It forces you to do a time jump.”

He then adds, “It’s a long way of saying that yeah, we’re going to do a time jump.”
