Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Tom FeltonToday in our Part 2 of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes video interview series, we’re bringing you folks soundbites from actors John Lithgow (“Dexter”) and Tom Felton (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows).

Rise of the Planet of the Apes stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Tom Felton, David Oyelowo, Brian Cox and Andy Serkis as “Caesar”. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver wrote the screenplay with Rupert Wyatt directing.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes opens wide in US theaters on August 5, 2011.


In the first video John Lithgow explains more about the relationship among his character, “Charles Rodman”, James Franco’s character, and “Caesar”. John also elaborates on working with performance capture actors, especially with Andy Serkis playing “Caesar” while in performance capture gear.


Tom Felton, playing “Dodge Landon”, also talks about working with performance capture actors, particularly Andy Serkis, as well as elaborating on what attracted him to this project post the Harry Potter series.
