So who’s next to be in talks to star in Chan-wook Park’s upcoming thriller Stoker? Another rising star could very well be signing on for active duty. Read on for details.

According to Variety Tetro star Alden Ehrenreich is in talks to join Mia Wasikowska in the Fox Searchlight thriller Stoker.

Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) stars as a teenage loner who’s thrown off by the arrival of her mysterious uncle (Matthew Goode, Watchmen) while she mourns the death of her father. Her other co-stars include Nicole Kidman, Jacki Weaver, and Lucas Till. Actor Wentworth Miller wrote the script under the pseudonym Ted Foulke.

Ehrenreich will play Whip Taylor, who’s initially kind to Wasikowska’s character despite the fact that the jocks pick on her.

Tony and Ridley Scott are producing through their Scott Free banner along with Michael Costigan, and the project is considered a top priority for Fox given the rising profile of Park, who steered international hits Oldboy and Thirst.
