During “The Walking Dead” panel at last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, no one had any idea Frank Darabont was about to step down and be replaced as showrunner by Glen Mazzara. Want to experience the most buzzed-about event of this year’s Con before all that went down? Then check out AMC’s highlights reel, which we have for you here.

The Walking DeadThe reel spotlights the cast and crew discussing the ups and downs of doing stunt-work and the realities of bodily tick-sweeps.

Still want more? Then dig on the “How To Kill A Walker” video right beneath it. This compilation of scenes from Season 1 of “The Walking Dead” should give you some food for thought. Viewer discretion is advised.

In this latest season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” TV series, the survivors arrive at Hershel’s Farm, where we will meet Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson), a vet (as in a veterinarian); his daughter, Maggie (Lauren Cohan); and Otis (Pruitt Taylor Vince), the middle-aged ranch foreman who’s such a sweetheart that he all but loses it when he accidentally shoots a fellow survivor. The new cast members join series regulars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes, Jon Bernthal as Shane Walsh, Laurie Holden as Andrea, Jeffrey DeMunn as Dale, Steven Yeun as Glenn, and Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes.

Look for the series premiere on October 16th during AMC’s annual Fearfest.
