San Diego Comic-Con 2011: CONFIRMED Freddy Krueger Enters the Mortal Kombat Fray!

A few months ago we reported on a rumor that both Freddy and Jason would be making their way to the latest Mortal Kombat game. Today confirmation has come that at least one of them is definitely joining the fray!
Freddy Krueger — the dream-invading, claw-wearing murderer from the A Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise — is coming to Mortal Kombat on August 9th, 2011. And he’s rocking a razor glove on each hand!
The only downside? Krueger is rockin’ the remake look instead of the Englund look. Maybe he’ll be rockin’ a alternate classic outfit?
Mortal Kombat (review here) is the most brutal installment of the legendary fighting game to date and is currently available on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in 2011. The game, along with the upcoming DLC, was developed by NetherRealm Studios, led by Mortal Kombat creator and creative director Ed Boon.
