John Carpenter Has Dedicated His Life to Destiny 2

Great men have great tastes, apparently. I say this because in a recent interview with The Guardian, John Carpenter admitted that he loves playing Destiny 2. He loves it so much, in fact, that he has dedicated his life to it. Here’s what he had to say:
“I’ve been playing the video game Destiny 2. It’s a sci-fi game. It’s fun…Oh, it is hard. That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to learning how to play it. At my age why not? It keeps me out of trouble.”
The fact that Carpenter is a hardcore gamer comes as no surprise. Earlier this year, he tweeted that he loves Horizon Zero Dawn, calling it a “stunning visual game with highly addictive gameplay.” He’s also expressed interest in making a Dead Space movie, and has been critical of Aliens: Colonial Marines. Join the club, dude.
Despite his wealth, Carpenter is still one of us. Caviar and golf courses be damned, he’s a gamer and proud of it. I just hope he’s able to drag himself away from the controller long enough to work on his producer and composer duties for the upcoming Halloween movie.
