San Diego Comic-Con 2011: Experience The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Like Never Before

We know The Lord of Rings isn’t technically pure horror, but it does have some pretty awesome creatures in it so we figured our readers in San Diego for Comic-Con would want to hear about “The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Middle-earth Experience” taking place on Saturday, July 23rd.

In celebration of the upcoming release of video game The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be playing host to attendees of San Diego Comic-Con with a special one-night-only event, “The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Middle-earth Experience”, on Saturday, July 23.
Fans can register for this event, following the instructions on their The Lord of the Rings: War in the North branded hotel key cards, which can be found at 36 San Diego hotels, or on signage and trailers on branded hotel shuttle buses servicing the convention center area. The cards will direct them to the event registration page at WarintheNorth.com for more information on how to participate.
In addition to the “The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Middle-earth Experience,” legendary comic book artist and current Co-Publisher of DC Entertainment Jim Lee will conduct signings in the Warner Bros. booth, as well as the DC Entertainment booth, on Thursday, July 21 and Friday, July 22.
“The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Middle-earth Experience” – On Saturday, July 23, Comic-Con attendees will able to experience an exclusive The Lord of the Rings: War in the North event in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. In addition to the interactive video experience, guests will able to engage with various environmental photo ops, play the unreleased game months before the retail debut and be eligible to win an array of prizes. A branded game truck will be parked on-site as well for hands-on gaming with The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. The event will occur twice between the hours of 8:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m on J Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.

Jim Lee will be on hand at the DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. booths to sign free copies of limited edition promotional prints featuring his artwork for The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, which will be given away at each signing.
