Here’s the thing … when Sigourney Weaver says that she wants to continue fighting aliens, you let her continue to fight aliens. You don’t think about it. You don’t mull over the details. You hand her a pen and a contract and ask her to please sign. In a perfect world, kids!

New York Magazine’s Vulture caught up with Weaver recently, who had this to say about a possible return to the franchise that put her on the map and empowered the female action hero for decades to come …

I could definitely kick that alien’s ass again,” she said. “While I can’t speak for them, I think for Fox, once you’re sixty, you’re not going to be starring in an action movie. I think it’s too bad that that’s the case. I would have liked to do one last story where we go back to the planet, where Ripley’s history is resolved. But I do feel like her story is unfinished.”

If Stallone can come back for The Expendables and be successful, Ripley can easily go for one last tussle with a Xenomorph! Tell us what you think below.

am I the Only one you actually LOVED Alien Ressurection?

“I could definitely kick that alien’s ass again.”

When a sixty-year-old woman tells you that she can kick a monster’s hindquarters, that monster’s future as any kind of viable threat is over.

No, Ripley’s story should have ended with part 3.

    • DavidFullam

      Agreed. It’s so over.

I think the true star of Alien is the Alien. Ripley’s story really was finished and if Weaver had such huge concerns for the franchise why did she play games dropping in and out of 3? She’s partially responsible for it being such a suckfest.

She sure as hell doesn’t look 60! Hell, in that Direct TV Aliens commercial she did last year, she looked almost IDENTICAL to herself 25 years ago!
