The Chair is a film we’ve been talking about for some time here at Dread Central, and a big part of the reason is its cast… not only does it feature Roddy Piper in his final role, but DC favorites Bill Oberst, Jr., and Tim Muskatell headline a roster that’s chock-full of recognizable names and faces. Now, finally, the film is coming home on Blu-ray and DVD!

The film adaptation of THE CHAIR (review), which stars Roddy Piper in his last feature film role, is being released in a Blu-ray and DVD combo pack this Halloween.
Based on the Alterna Comics graphic novel created and written by Peter Simeti with art by Kevin Christensen, THE CHAIR is a psychological horror thriller that takes place on Death Row and has received rave reviews for the intense performances in the film and the layered subtext within the plot.
THE CHAIR is directed by Chad Ferrin and stars an ensemble cast of veteran actors that include Bill Oberst, Jr. (“Criminal Minds”), Tim Muskatell (Deadgirl), Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Naomi Grossman (“American Horror Story”), Noah Hathaway (The NeverEnding Story), and Ezra Buzzington (The Hills Have Eyes).
