Horror Box Office – OPENING THIS WEEK: October 6, 2017

Not a bad selection of flicks to check out this week, friends.  I don’t know which I will see between Cult of Chucky, Brawl in Cell Block 99 and Better Watch Out.  Hopefully the decision isn’t that tough for you!

Click on the titles below for full coverage, and remember to check back every Thursday at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET for updates.

Better Watch Out

On a quiet suburban street, a babysitter must defend a twelve-year-old boy from intruders, only to discover it’s far from a normal home invasion.

Brawl in Cell Block 99

A former boxer-turned-drug runner lands in a prison battleground after a deal gets deadly.

Cold Moon

In a sleepy Southern town, the Larkin family suffers a terrible tragedy. Now the Larkins are about to endure another: Traffic lights blink an eerie warning, a ghostly visage prowls in the streets, and graves erupt from the local cemetery in an implacable march of terror… and beneath the murky surface of the river, a shifting, almost human shape slowly takes form to seek a terrible vengeance.

The Crucifixion

When Nicole comes in contact with Father Anton (Corneliu Ulici), more and more inexplicable events occur. The pair begin to believe that the priest lost the battle with a demon.

Cult of Chucky

Chucky returns to terrorize his human victim, Nica. Meanwhile, the killer doll has some scores to settle with his old enemies, with the help of his former wife.

Dementia 13

Some ghosts you can’t rid of; other ghosts want to get rid of you. This modernized remake of Coppola’s debut film, Dementia 13 follows an old-money family still dealing with the death of its youngest daughter several years later. While honoring the daughter’s death, a long con, an axe-wielding serial killer, and a vengeful ghost all coalesce in the same night to target the family. Everyone in the family has a secret, nobody wants to face what they did, and for someone to survive, the truth needs to come out – sooner than later.

Demons

Celebrated fiction writer and former priest Colin Hampstead and his wife, Kayleigh, are tormented by the ghost of her late sister as the details of her grisly death are slowly uncovered.
