Terrifier Toplining UK’s FrightFest Shocktoberfest 2017

The films premiering at FrightFest’s annual Shocktoberfest have been announced, and they’re toplined by one of the most nightmare-fueled, balls-to-the-walls slasher-fests we’ve ever seen… Damien Leone’s Terrifier!

From the Press Release:
The ‘making of’ a low-budget slasher… an emotional zombie nightmare… a chiaroscuro Gothic horror… a comic strip creature feature… an outrageously strange mind cult… a sci-fi alien action extravaganza… and the last word in liller clowns.

Please give a – severed – hand to the seven choice shockers that make up the bumper pack of bump-in-the-nighters comprising FrightFest’s hugely anticipated annual Halloween chillorama.

Yes, the all-day, all-screaming, all-encompassing, all-stops-out FrightFest Shocktoberfest makes its way to the Empire Haymarket, a wonderfully appropriate stone’s throw away from The Phantom of the Opera musical, for their annual West End wits-end wallow in all things gruesome, gory and glorious.

After FrightFest’s successful return to central London in August for our biggest, best and most critically and audience acclaimed event yet, we are pleased to announce our equally ambitious, and extended, Halloween spooktacular that in keeping with our well-developed ethos comprises an eclectic and electric mix of the horror, fantasy and sci-fi genres to haunt your nightmares until our Glasgow grindhouser next March.

We are currently in a post-IT golden period where the populist press tells us horror is back in the biggest way it has never been before. Funny that, FrightFesters have proved over the last 18 wonderful years of choice movies that it has never been away – only the blinkered mainstream film industry has.

So let’s show them once again we mean business, and have always meant business, with a demonstration of support for the kinds of quirky, unusual and extreme genre movies that will need it now more than ever. We can’t wait to see you at the Empire – and how great does it feel to say that again! – for what will be an epic horror love-in for the people who have never wavered in their devotion to the dark heart of cinema – you, the ardent FrightFester.

The Empire Cinema, 63-65 Haymarket, London, SW1Y 4RL, is the location of this year’s extravaganza. Tickets will be available online through the ticket page on the FrightFest website HERE from noon on Sunday 1st October. With a seventh film added to the line-up for the first time, a day pass with an allocated seat this year will cost £45. Fantastic value. Plus, for the first time at one of our Halloween events, there will be single tickets available at £14.50 for each of the seven films. And in another first, walk-up tickets, subject to availability, will be available from the cinema on the day.
