The Evil Within 2 Gameplay Videos Surface; Switch Version a Possibility

With the release of The Evil Within 2 just around the corner, PC Gamer were lucky enough to be able to play the game for a full 34 minutes, and if you’re okay some possible mild spoilers, you can watch the footage below.
Unlike the its linear predecessor, The Evil Within 2 will take more of an open world approach, with much larger maps to explore. This is something which PCGamesN focused on in their 10 minute gameplay preview. Aside from zombie titles, there haven’t been a whole lot of open world horror games, so this should be filling a gap in the market.
As is common for major third-party games as of late, there appears to be a strong possibility that The Evil Within 2 will also be heading to the Nintendo Switch. Producer Shinji Mikami, who also directed the first game and created the Resident Evil franchise, told GameSpot that he would be interested in bringing The Evil Within 2 to the Switch, and whilst that’s certainly not a lot to go on, it still appears that Switch owners should remain optimistic. Especially since Bethesda are also bringing Skyrim, Doom, and Wolfenstein II to the system.
Although we don’t yet know for sure about the Switch version, we do know that The Evil Within 2 will be released on PC and consoles on October 13.
