I Spit On Your Grave (2010) director Steven R. Monroe wrapped his new film Hole in the Desert this past Sunday in Burbank, CA, where Dread caught up with the writer/director on the flick’s set to get the skinny on the revenge thriller’s cast.

Co-executive produced by actress Cerina Vincent (who also stars) with Monroe and producers Anthony Fankhauser and Corey A. Jackson, Hole in the Desert also attracted the talents of prolific actor Jason Wiles (in the lead role of ‘Reagan’) and genre vet C. Thomas Howell (The Hitcher). Joining them are Jeff Branson, Chad Lindberg and Andrew Howard (the three appeared in Monroe’s I Spit On Your Grave redux), as well as actors Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects), Shayla Beesley (Spreading Darkness), Michael Covert, Scott Menville, Stacey Hinnen, Raffaello Degruttola and Ryan Dillion.

Stay tuned for exclusive, in-depth interviews from the set with Monroe and with Hole in the Desert stars Vincent (who shockingly at the request of her director bleached her famous brunette locks blonde!), Wiles and Howell coming soon to Dread.

Check out a couple of production photos below.

Synopsis
The film is a violent, edgy ride focusing on the forlorn Reagan Tyler, a man who is troubled by visions and premonitions that ultimately lead him to a small desert town. It’s there that Reagan meets the beautiful and mysterious Monika, a young woman who turns out to have been killed the night before he even met her. Reagan is then forced to put the puzzle together of what happened, how she is still present, and help Monika with her revenge on the killers of her younger sister.
