In addition, we have some stills and artwork to share so read on!

From the Press Release:
White Settlers (starring Polly McIntosh, “The Walking Dead”) was a hit with genre fans back in 2015 when it played festivals like Sitges, FrightFest, and Screamfest LA and was subsequently released on Netflix in the UK and the US.

Now HABIT, written and directed by Simeon Halligan, is set for its own festival success as this bloodthirsty feature film announces its first tranche of festival screenings for later this year. HABIT has been selected for more than ten top genre film festivals including LUND FANTASTIC FILM FESTIVAL (Sweden), GRIMMFEST (Manchester, UK), MAYHEM (Nottingham, UK), DUBLIN HORRORTHON (Dublin, UK), RAZORREEL (Bruges, Belgium), NYC FILM FESTIVAL (New York, US), TERRORMOLINS (Barcelona, Spain), ABERTOIR FILM FESTIVAL (Cardiff, Wales), NIGHTVISIONS (Helsinki, Finland), and more to be announced shortly.

The film is set for release in early 2018.

HABIT stars Elliot James Langridge (Northern Soul, Let’s be Evil), Jessica Barden (“Penny Dreadful,” The Lobster), William Ash (“The Tunnel,” Hush), Roxanne Pallett (Wrong Turn 6, “Emmerdale”), and Joanne Mitchell (Before Dawn, Attack of the Adult Babies) and is based on the brutal novel of the same name by Mancunian writer Stephen McGeagh. It was produced by Rachel Richardson Jones and Nick Leese.

HABIT benefits from a fresh and arresting soundtrack, utilising exciting new bands alongside known artists such as The Coral. These tracks accompany specially composed music from Claude Foisy, known for his work on a multitude of horror genre films.

Synopsis:
Manchester, the present. Michael (Langridge) divides his time between the job centre and the pub. A chance meeting with Lee (Barden), an introduction to her Uncle Ian (Ash), and a heavy night on the lash lead to a job working the door at a Northern Quarter massage parlour called Cloud 9. Lee introduces Michael to a bizarre subculture hidden behind locked doors and down shadow-filled alleyways.

After witnessing the violent death of one of the punters, Michael experiences blood-drenched flashbacks and feels himself being sucked into a twilight world that he doesn’t understand but is irresistibly drawn to. Lee, Ian, and the other girls at the massage parlour offer him excitement, intrigue, and a family of sorts; but slowly and surely without his realisation, Michael is being groomed. His new family have a dark secret, a shared addiction that they intend Michael to share with them.

When Michael finds out what goes on in the room below Cloud 9, his life will never be the same again.
