Child’s Play writer/director Don Mancini was recently a guest pn a recent episode of the horror podcast Necronomicast and he brought up a rather interesting idea on how his series could crossover into the world of Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street!

Mancini posited, “My idea for the movie is to do it as a horror movie version of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It’s called Child’s Play on Elm Street. Chucky ends up in the bedroom of a house on Elm Street. And Freddy meets him there. And they’re, like, fans of each other. So they have this rapport. But then they realize Elm Street isn’t big enough for the two of them. It only can contain one killer.

Mancini’s latest film Cult of Chucky will be having its world premiere at Horror Channel’s 2017 FrightFest in London. The film stars Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Jennifer Tilly, Brad Dourif, Michael Therriault, and Elisabeth Rosen. It comes to DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD on October 3rd.
