Official websites for games aren’t things to usually get excited about; however, Codemasters often goes the extra mile with such things, and when the subject matter is something as exciting as Clive Barker’s Jericho, it’d be wrong to keep this from you, and today that’s exactly what happened. The official Jericho website opened for business, and it’s definitely worth a look be you a gamer or a Clive Barker fan.
This is one of those websites that’s almost a game in and of itself as you explore some dusty tomb-like ruins finding screen shots, back story on the game, videos and the like as you stumble about in the darkness.
Poke around and you’ll find out some information on the mysterious city of Al Khali. You’ll find out who the ancient evil is trying to break through into our world and why they don’t like mankind much. You’ll find out what we’re doing to try to stop it. You’ll also find out who might be betraying us.
A bit easier to find and a few notches more intense is the CGI trailer for the game. It shows the Jericho team (or some of them at least) walking through the same strange ruins looking for some of their comrades. It’s a pretty slick little video. It doesn’t give you a look at actual game-play just yet, something we still haven’t seen, but it just might get you more pumped for Clive Barker’s next word in gaming.
