Wes Craven’s Summer of Fear Hitting Blu-ray This October

We’re very happy to learn that Wes Craven’s classic 1978 film Summer of Fear will finally be released on Blu-ray for the first time on October 10 courtesy of Doppelgänger Releasing. This news comes via Bloody Disgusting.

Also know as Stranger in Our House, Summer of Fear was based on a book by Lois Duncan and stars The Exorcist’s Linda Blair as a teenage girl who begins to suspect her cousin of being a witch. The film also stars Lee Purcell, Jeremy Slate, Jeff McCracken, and Jeff East. Although it debuted on TV in the US, it received a theatrical release in the UK.

There’s currently no word on the extra features which will be included in the Blu-ray release, but we’ll probably find out soon.
