#SDCC17: New Lucifer Teaser Really Sizzles; Tom Welling Joins Cast for Season 3

Fox just released the sizzle reel they debuted during today’s San Diego Comic-Con panel for “Lucifer,” and along with catching everyone up on where we left off, it also provides a look at what’s to come in Season 3.
In addition, some very interesting casting news came out of the presentation…
Former “Smallville” star Tom Welling has joined the series as Marcus Pierce, a potential rival of our lead character for Chloe’s affections.

Per Deadline, “…Pierce [is] an accomplished police lieutenant who is everything Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is not: strategic, reserved, and well-respected. But perhaps even more annoying are all the things they have in common. Both men are charming, charismatic, and handsome as hell. So when Pierce starts developing a connection with Decker (Lauren German), Lucifer’s devilish traits are inflamed.”
“Lucifer” stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, and Scarlett Estevez.
When Season 2 ended, Lucifer had been kidnapped and then had his angel wings restored. To see where it all leads, be sure to tune in when Season 3 kicks off at 8 PM on Monday, October 2nd.
