Finally a release date is in sight for for the Tim Burton adaptation of the ever so soapy vampire tale Dark Shadows. Get out your calendars, vamp heads! It’s time to scratch off a new date!
Warner Bros. has given Dark Shadows a release date of May 11th, 2012. Excited? You should be. It’s less than a year away. Who cares if it’s only by a single day?
Johnny Depp, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Michelle Pfeiffer, Thomas McDonell, Gulliver McGrath, Chloe Moretz, and Helena Bonham Carter are all set to star in the film.
Seth Grahame-Smith will be writing and Depp will also produce with Graham King’s GK Flms. Depp had obtained feature rights to “Dark Shadows” in 2007 from the estate of Dan Curtis, the producer/director who created it. The series aired weekdays on ABC from 1966 to 1971 with 1,225 episodes.
