Sons of Anarchy Star Charlie Hunnam Rides Off to Del Toro’s Pacific Rim

With At the Mountains of Madness completely and sadly sidelined, Guillermo del Toro is working full steam ahead on Legendary’s upcoming monster mash, Pacific Rim. So much so that the first bit of possible casting news is finally here.

According to Deadline Charlie Hunnam (pictured right), best known for playing biker Jax Teller in Kurt Sutter’s superb FX series “Sons of Anarchy”, is negotiating to star in Pacific Rim for director Guillermo del Toro.

The Legendary Pictures film, scripted by Travis Beacham, is set in a future where giant malevolent creatures threaten to destroy the earth, city by city. To combat its annihilation, the planet must band together and use highly advanced weapons technology to eradicate the growing threat.

Sounds like Hunnam is gonna need backup from “The Sons” should he sign on for duty, dontcha think? More soon!
