Romero was not just an amazing filmmaker, the man was a film icon. No matter who you talk to, could be a true blue horror fan or a woman who prefers romcoms…all have at least heard the name George A. Romero.
In a time when there are so many choices with many great shows and movies to choose from, most horror fans will still say their favorite is Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, The Crazies etc. This man and his films are LOVED among horror fans everywhere.
What Romero and John started with NOTLD is what paved the road for the countless zombies that walked after.
His movies inspired countless directors, writers and actors. His movies scared the shit out of people. His movies were full of life, which is strange when most were about things no longer living… the undead.
What a career, what a great man to his fans. RIP
