Published

on

Are you ready to face Death at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con? The Underworld is rising and bringing you the chance to immerse yourself on an epic quest for terrifying trinkets and ethereal exclusives (while supplies last) from the world of Sideshow’s Court of the Dead. Read on for the official details!

About the Sideshow Collectibles Court of the Dead Scavenger Hunt:
Begin your Underworld weekend by taking a selfie with the Alltaker when you encounter the Death Life-Size Figure at Sideshow’s Booth #1929. Use the hashtag #DeathSDCC2017 to enter to win a Death Premium Format Figure for your own Courtly collection.

Then, embark on the journey of your afterlife by undertaking the full Underworld Quest and visiting each of the licensors featuring Court of the Dead curios across the San Diego Comic-Con show floor. Visit Han Cholo (Booth #2616), Badali Jewelry (Booth #532), Insight Editions (Booth #3721), and Project Raygun (Booth #1028) to receive stamps and mark the success of your scavenging.

Completing this challenge will earn you the SDCC 2017 Exclusive pin featuring the likeness of Relic Ravlatch. Be the envy of Mourners (that is, Court of the Dead fans) everywhere by proudly wearing this symbol of your questing capabilities.

For brave Mourners who fancy a game of Blackjack, Project Raygun (Booth #1028) will provide a unique opportunity for questers to test their luck against an undead dealer for the chance to reap some exciting rewards. Don’t forget to nab a quest stamp while you’re at it!

Simply play a round of Blackjack, and – win or lose – walk away with an exclusive Malavestros joker card to add a devious face to your deck. Any lucky soul who can beat the dealer will receive an exclusive Court of the Dead dealer coin as a token of their terrifying talent.

Cavort with the Court all weekend at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, and explore all that the Underworld has to offer. It will be a ghastly good time!

NECA Announces Ashy Slashy Puppet Replica

Published

on

One of our favorite horror TV shows is Starz’s “Ash vs. Evil Dead,” and one of our favorite moments from the first two seasons is when Ash brings out his “Ashy Slashy” puppet.

If you’re like us and have been wondering when you could get your hands on an Ashy Slashy puppet of your own, today we have good news.

NECA has just announced its prop replica!

You can check out pics of the packaging reveal NECA did over on Facebook below, and then let us know if you’re going to be buying your very own Ash Slashy puppet.

We’ll let you know when the item becomes available for pre-order!

Rundown via NECA:
Every day can be demented play day with your very own Ashy Slashy puppet from Season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead! We’ve replicated Ash’s potty-mouthed little doppelganger from the asylum episodes for your (hopefully G-rated) entertainment.

This is a working puppet – insert your hand, and you can move the mouth; plus the arms are poseable thanks to inner articulation.

Ashy Slashy is approximately 15” tall.

Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and the Xenomorph Getting Their Own 8-Bit Pop Vinyls

Published

on

Funko has released some delightful horror-themed products over the years, but this just takes the cake. They’ve announced a new line of 8-bit Pop Vinyl figures, which will feature pixelated versions of Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and the Xenomorph. I never thought I’d say it, but even Freddy Krueger looks cute.

Freddy and Jason will both come in standard editions, in addition to GameStop exclusives based on how they both appeared in their own NES video games. The Xenomorph will also have a Previews exclusive edition depicting it smeared with acid blood. Have a look at the images below to decide which versions you like best. Most of us would probably like to purchase all six!

These adorable (but still horrible) figures will be available in January, so make sure you don’t go bankrupt over Christmas.
