Variety is reporting that Michael Kelly (pictured right) has landed the father role in the upcoming flick produced by John Davis, which will also star relative newcomers Michael B. Jordan, Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell and Ashley Hinshaw.

Josh Trank will make his directorial debut with the Max Landis-penned project.

The studio is being unusually secretive about the film and has not released a logline, though sources tell Variety that the story centers on three Portland teens who develop powers from exposure to a mysterious substance.
