I Am Legend Prequel Staked

A couple of weeks ago we brought you the unseen I Am Legend creatures that literally made us cringe at the thought of what they had been replaced with. Now something else I Am Legend related is ready to not be seen … its proposed prequel.

According to an MTV interview with director Francis Lawrence the prequel is off the table, at least as far as his involvement goes. “No, I don’t think that’s ever going to happen.” Well, that’s pretty damned final, no?

Still, we wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up becoming a Syfy original movie sometime down the road. You know the guys at The Asylum would make it in a heartbeat. Which would be kind of okay since their bad CGI is no worse than the CGI used in the big budget Will Smith vehicle.
