Mothra Joins Godzilla and Gamera in City Shrouded in Shadow

In case you haven’t been keeping tabs on City Shrouded in Shadow, it’s an upcoming game featuring famous giant monsters from Japanese cinema attacking a city in Japan. So far, Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Gamera, Evangelion, and Ultraman have all been confirmed to make official appearances, and now we have two more to add to that list.
The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu revealed that the AV-98 Ingram robot from the Patlabor manga franchise, will also be showing up in City Shrouded in Shadow, alongside one of our favorite Kaiju of all time: Mothra. Although she wasn’t mentioned by name, we see a silhouette of her shadowy form (pictured below), and all the characters teased for the game so far were later confirmed, so I’m gonna go ahead and say that this is indeed Mothra. We now know that City Shrouded in Shadow will launch in Japan exclusively on the PS4 in October 19, 2017 courtesy of publisher Bandai Namco. We don’t yet know when it will arrive on US shores, but you can feed your nerd boners by gazing at some screenshots from the first ever official crossover between Godzilla and Gamera below.
