Image Entertainment has come a really long way. Within the last few years they have climbed to the top of the quality DVD and Blu-ray mountain with stellar releases of “The Twilight Zone” and much more. Now it appears as if the best is yet to come!
As per Variety:
Image Entertainment has signed a long-term agreement with Lakeshore Entertainment to distribute their catalog in North America.
The agreement, announced Tuesday, covers Blu-ray/DVD, VOD and digital rights. “The Lakeshore Entertainment library is a wonderful addition to our already extensive catalog,” said Ted Green, chairman and CEO for Image.
The Lakeshore library consists of the former New World library, most of which has never been released on Blu-ray. Notable titles include “Heathers,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “18 Again!” and “Soul Man.”
Deal also includes horror titles “Children of the Corn,” “Hellraiser,” “Creepshow 2” and “Return to Horror High” along with over 40 episodes of TV’s “Crime Story” and the 80’s comedy show “Sledge Hammer!”
