Release Date for Them

Word came down from Dark Sky Films yesterday about the impending US release of Them (aka Ils, review), which has been garnering all sorts of praise for over a year now due to various festival screenings.
Fangoria learned that Dark Sky will release the film in New York and LA on August 17th, with more cities to follow. Hopefully if it does well enough it can get out across the whole country because all reports indicate that this is the real deal when it comes to horror movies.
Them is about a couple who are terrorized by an unseen attacker at their huge, remote country home and relies on a “less is more” approach the likes of which we haven’t seen in years. The directors, Xavier Palud and David Moreau, just finished up work on the US remake of The Eye, starring Jessica Alba. Well, I guess it was good to have some talented filmmakers while it lasted…
